| Raymond Thibesart was born in 1874 in Bar-sur-Aube. He studied at the
School of Fine Arts under Jules LeFerre of the Julian Academy and Emile
Boggio, who became his guide in painting.
Thiebesart was seduced by springtime in the Seine Valley. He settled down in Vaux-sur-Seine where he had a home which he rarely left. He loved to be with nature. His painting consists of pastels and he carried out splendid oil on canvas from his pastels. In 1907, Thibesart exhibited at the Contemporary Art Gallery of Paris and in 1923 at the Knoedler Gallery. His work is very well-known in Latin America.
