PAUL HENNESY
American - b.1954

Paul Hennesy, born in Rhode Island, now lives in the family home located on ten acres a mile north of the historic town of Clifton, Virginia. He devotes himself full time to the practice of fine art, specializing in landscapes and seascapes in oil and watercolor.

Paul particularly admires the work of the French and American Impressionist painters, and study of their work has had a strong influence on his own style, wherein he attempts to capture effects of light and atmosphere with high key color and energetic, painterly brushwork. Paul and his father, Gerald Henessy, frequently travel to Europe to study the masters firsthand and search for new subjects to paint.
