Born in Pennsylvania. Studied at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Phila. PA. Barnes Foundation, Merion, Pennsylvania, Skowhegan School, ME. Artist-correspondent for U.S. Army, Europe, World War II. Taught 1953 – 1960 at The Art Center, Lim, Peru. Taught 1960 – 1962, School of Fine Arts, Washington University, St. Louis, MO. On the Faculty of the Corcoran School of Art, Washington, D.C, 1965 – 1968.
